Beauty Missed...

After two years of living surrounded by concrete and asphalt, I was more than ready for a change. Moving back home where I grew up was a quick decision made out of the necessity of loosing our apartment to a fire. This is a decision I'm glad we made. I have missed hearing the birds sing, watching the deer play, and seeing the beautiful trees and sunshine out of my windows. I've missed the delightful smell of fresh cut grass and blooming flowers. And I've missed setting on the porch in the beauty of my surroundings watching nature.

Nature.  Sadly missed when you live surrounded by concrete.  Look closely :)

This cardinal visits often.  We were lucky enough to have the camera handy this time.

I guess I'm truly getting old. This kids miss having the stores and people around. When I was their age, I hated living up this little country hollow too. As for me, I've come full circle. I'm back home and loving it!
